Tourism Objects at Mount Gede Pangrango

When you have opportunity to visit The Gunung Gede Pangrango (Gede Pangrangro Mountain), there are some places that are worth for visiting. Some of them are:

1). Telaga Biru (Blue Lake)
This lake has a diameter of 5 hectare. It is located 1,5 kilometre from Cibodas entrance and situated at 1.575 meter dpl. The lake always appears blue if it is hit by sunray, because it is covered by blue algae.

2). Cibeureum waterfall
The waterfall is 50 metre in height, located at around 2,8 kilometres from Cibodas. There is a kind of red moss growing around the lake and it is categorized endemic in the region.

3). Hot water Spring
Located around 5,3 kilometre or two hours from Cibodas.

4). Kandang Batu and Kandang Badak
For camping and observing plants and animals. it is located at height of 2.220 m. dpl. with distance 7,8 km or 3,5 hours from Cibodas.

5). Peak and cauldron of Gunung Gede
We can enjoy beautiful panorama of sunset and sunrise, the clear lowland sight of Cianjur, Sukabumi, and Bogor cities. We can also watch interesting geological activities and see specific plants around cauldron. There are three active cauldrons at the peak which names are Lanang, Ratu and Wadon. The cauldron is at the height of 2.958 m dpl, at the distance of 9,7 km or 5 hours journey from Cibodas.

6). Gunung Putri and Selabintana
Both of them are camping places which have capacity of 100-150 persons.
